Senior Billing Coordinator
Location: Los Angeles, California
Our client, a premier Labor & Employment law firm in California, is seeking a skilled Senior Billing Coordinator to join their dynamic accounting department in the Los Angeles office. With over 120 attorneys across five offices, the firm prides itself on delivering exceptional service to its clients. This position is critical to the firm's financial operations, managing comprehensive billing processes to ensure the efficiency and accuracy of client invoicing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, generate, distribute, and monitor prebills promptly.
- Review and edit prebills to ensure all billing details are accurate before invoice finalization.
- Finalize invoices using Aderant Expert software, maintaining strict adherence to firm billing protocols.
- Distribute finalized invoices to clients electronically, including LEDES files, or via USPS, as required.
- Maintain accurate and organized billing records, ensuring all billing information is current.
- Assist with cash deposits and provide support for year-end collections.
- Effectively communicate with both internal and external clients to address billing inquiries and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to enhance billing processes and promote operational efficiency.
- A minimum of 4-5 years of legal billing experience in a law firm environment.
- Proficiency in Aderant Expert or equivalent billing software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and courteously.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
- Familiarity with electronic billing formats, such as LEDES files.
- Experience in cash deposits and collections is preferred.
- Knowledge of state and federal billing compliance regulations is a plus.
