Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Los Angeles, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in managing financial processes, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail who is seeking to contribute to a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

- Set up new vendor accounts and accurately enter invoices into the system to ensure timely processing.

- Oversee the lifecycle of purchase orders, from creation to completion, while maintaining accurate records.

- Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure financial data integrity.

- Assist with financial closing activities for monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting.

- Support annual financial audits by preparing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with reporting standards.

- Collaborate on special projects and contribute to other finance department tasks as needed. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or finance environment.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.

- Solid understanding of U.S. accounting principles and practices.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and advanced functions.

- Familiarity with accounting software systems such as Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

- Experience with corporate tax, sales tax, and general ledger management.

- Ability to prepare journal entries and corporate tax returns effectively.
