We are currently seeking a PROPERTY ACCOUNTANT who will be responsible for the preparation and maintenance of assigned sets of books for various operating properties. Primary responsibilities include tracking advances made by Abode Communities, tracking and reconciling various balance sheet schedules, reviewing tenant receivables, and reviewing and approving accounts payable invoices.

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or relevant field.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in affordable housing, property management, non‑profit accounting, and multiple sets of books preferred.
• Flexibility and willingness to learn new software, systems, and processes.
• Strong communicator and able to take initiative to resolve tasks and issues.
• Flexibility to work evenings and occasional weekends as needed.
