About the Role

Our client is hiring a Property Accountant to lead accounting operations for a diverse portfolio of commercial properties. This person will manage a team of Property Accountants and own all aspects of financial reporting, A/P and A/R workflows, and process improvement initiatives. This is a high-impact role for someone passionate about real estate accounting, team leadership, and operational excellence.

What You’ll Do

️ Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for managed properties (122 total)

️ Oversee owner distributions, tenant billings, CAM reconciliations, and budgets

️ Ensure accuracy and compliance across all A/P and A/R functions

️ Collaborate with property management leaders on budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis

️ Drive improvements in internal controls, accounting practices, and audit readiness

️ Support onboarding and transitions for new properties in the portfolio

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

3+ years of commercial property accounting experience, including team leadership

Expertise in GAAP and real estate-specific lease accounting

Strong communicator and problem-solver with attention to detail

Solid knowledge of lease structures and CAM reconciliations
