Position: Requirement for 3D-AR-VR Engineer

Location: Los Altos, CA – Hybrid Duration: 4 months contact to Hire

Hybrid

Schedule:

  • Option 1: 4-day workweek (10-hour days) with Fridays off.
  • Option 2:
    Standard workweek (4 days remote, at least 1 day onsite).

Minimum: 5 years relevant experience to contribute effectively.

Ideal/Strong: 5 years for full independence and ability to lead complex simulations and AR/VR projects.

5 years of hands‑on experience in AR/VR or 3D development with Unity or Unreal Engine.

Experience creating and optimizing 3D models, simulations, or interactive environments
.

Some exposure to AR/VR hardware integration (Holo Lens, Oculus, VR headsets) and physics/robotics simulation
.

Optional but highly valuable: experience working with AI/robotics or automotive systems in a research or applied R&D environment.

  • Understanding of system architecture
Core Technical Skills
  • 3D Graphics & Rendering
    • Expertise in 3D modeling, texturing, shading, lighting, and animation.
    • Familiarity with real‑time rendering pipelines and optimization.
  • AR/VR Development
    • Experience building AR/VR applications for devices like Holo Lens, Oculus, Meta Quest, or similar.
    • Knowledge of spatial computing, immersive interaction, and motion tracking.
  • Game/Graphics Engines
    • Proficiency with Unity, Unreal Engine, or similar engines for real‑time interactive experiences.
    • Understanding of engine workflows and scripting (C#, C , Blueprints).
  • Programming & Software Development
    • Strong coding skills in C , C#, Python, or JavaScript.
    • Knowledge of 3D graphics APIs (OpenGL, Direct

      X, Vulkan) is a plus.
  • Simulation & Physics
    • Experience with physics simulations, collision detection, and VR interaction mechanics.
    • Optional: haptics, motion capture, or robotics integration experience.
