Waldorf School of the Peninsula (Preschool - Grade 12) is celebrating its 41st year of bringing Waldorf education to Northern California. Our school has two beautiful campuses:
Preschool through grade 5 in Los Altos and a few miles away in Mountain View are grades 6-12. Our school is a full member of and accredited by the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America and fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. About the Role

Are you a WSP high school student who loves working with younger kids, enjoys being outdoors, and wants to gain valuable job experience? We’re looking for an enthusiastic and responsible Camp Counselor to support our fun and engaging day camp in Los Altos!

This is a great opportunity for WSP high school students to build leadership skills, earn income, and make a difference in a lively, supportive environment.

Dates:
February, Spring Camp and Summer Camp

Hours:

Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM – 3:15 PM
Pay: $18.70 an hour
Age Requirement: 16 and older

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist lead instructors with daily activities, crafts, games, and outdoor play
  • Supervise and engage with campers in a positive, encouraging manner
  • Help with set-up and clean-up of activities and camp materials
  • Ensure camper safety and wellbeing at all times
  • Model respectful, inclusive behavior and be a team player
  • Communicate effectively with camp staff and follow daily instructions for the Camp Coordinator
  • Support any administrative or logistical needs during the day
Requirements
  • Must be 16 years or older by the start of the internship
  • Be in good standing with the community
  • Ability to work the full shift (8:15AM to 3:15 PM, Monday–Friday) during Camp days.
  • Punctual, dependable, and able to follow directions
  • Enjoy working with children and being part of a team
  • Resume with Statement of Intent and one reference
  • Current TB assessment (or willingness to obtain one)
