A highly recommended family based in Los Altos, California are seeking a second rota nanny to join their established and fully staffed household. The family have four children aged 12, 9, 5 and 2, and already have one rota nanny in place.
This is a busy, well-run household with a strong team ethos. The role is fully child-focused and involves working collaboratively alongside parents and household staff. Mum is a stay at home parent and part of the day to day rhythm, particularly during the busier afternoons where it is very much a divide and conquer approach with school runs and activities often happening simultaneously.
There is some hands off time during the week while the youngest attends preschool (currently two mornings per week, increasing to three mornings in the autumn), however afternoons are lively, requiring a confident, organised nanny who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
The family travel during school holidays, both domestically and internationally, and also spend significant time at their Montana property, which is visited frequently throughout the year.
They are looking for a nanny who is fun, loving, active and very much a team player. Someone with a can-do attitude who enjoys being involved, embraces busy days, and naturally becomes part of both the family and the wider household team. This is a warm, energetic and wholesome family, and the role would suit a nanny who enjoys structure, activity and being part of something long‑term.
A confident driver and strong swimmer are essential. The family have a swimming pool at their California home, which the children use regularly, and water confidence is a must.
This is genuinely a fantastic position. The family are supportive, engaging and a pleasure to work with — so much so that their former Norland nanny relocated from London to California with them and is now their Chief of Staff.

- Friday: 7am - 8pm
- Saturday: 7am - 8pm
- Sunday: 7am - 8pm
- Monday: 9am - 8pm
- Tuesday: 10.30am - 8pm (child free )
