Overview
What You Will Do The Associate Laboratory Directorate for Environment, Safety, Health and Quality (ALDESHQ) is currently seeking recent graduates looking for challenging, paid post graduate internships at the post-baccalaureate level. Our student internships provide mentoring, hands-on technical experience, and professional development opportunities through a formalized work plan complementing the student s chosen area of study.

ALDESHQ is responsible for more than 160 Lab-wide safety programs, environmental protection and compliance, radiation protection, waste management, quality, and the Occupational Medicine facility and Wellness center and support for almost 5000 projects and programs for Los Alamos National Laboratory.

Job Requirements:
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy coupled with outstanding critical thinking skills
- Capacity to work on multiple fast-paced projects and deliver to deadlines
- Experience working effectively as part of a team with a willingness to assist and support other team members as needed; and also have the ability to work independently
- Proficient in the use of standard office software, such as Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills as demonstrated by experience in the preparation and formatting of correspondence, reports, and presentations
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills, organizational skills, and time management skills
- Ability to uphold the Laboratory s mission, vision, culture, and values
- Must have earned an Associate s or a Bachelor s degree from an accredited institution (or international equivalent) within the last 3 years, in an appropriate field
- Must have graduated with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)
The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM. All work locations are at the discretion of management.
