Research Scientist, Postdoctoral Research Fellow
What You Will Do
We are looking for an independent and creative individual with an excellent record to join our research efforts in projects at the interface of Immunology and biophysics. This postdoctoral position is available to work in the field of computational biophysics in the Theoretical Biology and Biophysics Group at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. The successful candidate will take part in one of the computational immunology projects or modeling of complex membrane based biomolecular systems.
It may involve protein-protein interactions, lipid based nanoplatforms, viral and bacterial antigen discovery, and glycoprotein and antibody designs.
Expertise in machine learning approaches and multiscale simulations is required. Additional expertise in any of the following techniques is a plus:
Atomistic and coarse-grained molecular dynamics simulations, Enhanced Sampling Methods, Protein language Models, and structure-based immunogen design.
Minimum
Job Requirements:
- Strong publication record
- Ability to code in Python
- Familiarity with PyTorch and/or Tensor Flow
- Familiarity with GROMACS
Desired
Qualifications:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Past research collaborations with experimentalists
- Experience in multi-disciplinary research projects.
Education:
PhD in related field completed within the last 5 years or soon to be completed.
The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM.
