Position Overview

Clinician (RN, LPN) – Full-time – Los Alamos Outpatient Procedures – CHRISTUS Health.

Primary Care Practical Clinician collaborates with physicians and staff to provide high quality continuum of care. Works with clinic manager to supervise delivery of clinical care.

• Education:
  
  Graduate of accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program.
• Certification/Licenses: LPN licensed in New Mexico. BLS certification through American Heart Association required or obtained within 2 weeks of hire.
• Experience:
  
  One year experience as clinical nurse.
• Skills:
  
  Write and verbal communication, adult learning principles, teaching techniques, educational material coordination.

• Coordinate patient wellness and chronic illness management.
• Assist clinic manager in supervising clinical care delivery.
• Supervise daily activities of medical assistants and PCA’s.
• Assist with establishing and maintaining clinical staff competency.
• Provide clinical observations to manager for annual performance evaluations of clinical staff.

• Work in clean, well‑lit, smoke‑free environment.
• Stand and walk for extensive periods; lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Work under stressful conditions or irregular hours.
• Frequent exposure to bodily fluids, communicable diseases, toxins, ionizing radiation, and medicinal preparations.
