Software Developer 4 – Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL)

Pay: $75/hr – $83/hr

Location: Remote (U.S.

Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship Required

Work Schedule: Flexible (4/10s preferred)

Clearance: DOE Q Clearance preferred, or ability to obtain

Mandatory Experience Requirement – Read Before Applying

• Eight (8) years or more experience in administration and development of Service Now forms and workflows.
• Experience with Service Now Modules including ITSM, Knowledge, CMDB, and HRSD.
• Experience developing custom integrations and applications within the Service Now platform.

This role is integral to maintaining and expanding Service Now capabilities that support mission‑critical systems within a high‑security, federally regulated environment. The Senior Developer will ensure effective, scalable, and secure configurations to meet institutional demands.

• Develop, configure, administer, and maintain custom Service Now solutions including catalog items, service portals, and task workflows.
• Collaborate with the Service Now Tools Team and other IT groups.
• Monitor and enhance the quality and efficiency of platform solutions.
• Translate business requirements into functional solutions.
• Customize forms and workflows to support process needs.
• Provide technical documentation, training materials, and user guides.

• 8+ years of hands‑on Service Now development and administration experience.
• Proficiency in modules such as ITSM, Knowledge, CMDB, and HRSD.
• Strong skills in troubleshooting, project management, and process design.
• Understanding of ITIL and Agile frameworks.
• Experience with custom integration and application development in Service Now.
• Familiarity with federal government security requirements.

• Service Now certifications
• ITIL v4 certification
• Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence
• Familiarity with Java, JavaScript, and SQL

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
• Minimum of 8 years professional experience in Service Now administration and development
