The Opportunity
Tech2 Solutions (T2S) is a critical subcontractor on the N3B Los Alamos LLC team and will be providing program management and technical services in support of the ground & surface water monitoring program at the U.S. Department of Energy's Los Alamos National Laboratory. T2S is a full-service engineering and environmental consulting company with worldwide reach in environmental monitoring, remediation, national security, systems engineering, data management and analytics for federal and commercial customers.
Internship Opportunity – T2S is adding interns for the Surface Water/Groundwater Monitoring Teams to support projects under the N3B Los Alamos Legacy Cleanup Contract (LLCC). Interns will assist with field work such as collecting storm and surface water samples, completing sample paperwork, maintaining sampling equipment and storm water controls, maintaining surface water gaging stations, conducting site inspections and construction verifications, and data entry.
Responsibilities may include groundwater sampling, baseflows and screening sampling.
Interns will ensure all activities are performed safely, maintain required training, comply with procedural and regulatory requirements, and prioritize safety and security. They must be prepared to pause or stop work if unsafe or compromising security.
Essential Job Functions- Assist in the collection of groundwater or storm & surface water samples, and maintenance of sample collection equipment and storm water controls.
- Assist in processing water samples to prepare for shipping and analysis.
- Assist in the operation and maintenance of stream gaging stations including routine inspections, troubleshooting equipment, and flow measurements as applicable.
- Assist in the completion of field work, including site inspections and construction verifications and/or documenting work completed.
- Maintain quality control throughout the sample collection process.
- Support the project with requesting site access, data entry, and report preparation, as needed.
- Comply with all health & safety policies and practices.
- Other duties in support of the Water Program as assigned.
- Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
- Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
- Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
- Additional duties as required.

Pay commensurate with experience.
Pay Range: $20.00 – $24.00 hourly
