What You Will Do
The Intelligence and Space Research (ISR) division office seeks an experienced, proactive, customer service-focused professional to provide administrative support to our dynamic, mission-focused organization. ISR Division has been designing, building, and operating innovative ground, air, and space-based measurement and detection systems for 60 years. We solve some of the most challenging scientific and national security problems facing the world today. We lead experiments on NASA missions, and we also build, fly, operate, and analyze data from measurement systems deployed to space for verification of international nuclear treaties as part of the U.S. Nuclear Detonation Detection System (USNDS) and for specialized missions sponsored by other government agencies.
The ISR Professional Staff Assistant (PSA) will serve as the primary point of contact for in-person, phone, and virtual communications with the ISR division office. The ideal candidate should be an excellent problem-solver that will anticipate challenges and obstacles and tactfully resolve them while providing high-level professional support to division leadership. While executing responsibilities, the ISR PSA must maintain a professional office atmosphere, demonstrating attention to detail and accuracy, initiative, versatility, tact and confidentiality.
This position requires a motivated performer who is capable of quickly changing focus and acting independently. Key responsibilities of the ISR PSA include:
- Physical presence in the ISR division office (03-1405) to serve as point of contact in greeting visitors, assisting staff, answering phones, and addressing needs as they arise. This is a fully onsite role.
- Calendar management for the ISR division leader, deputy division leaders, and division office conference rooms.
- Highly engaged collaboration with the ISR Staff Operations Manager, other division office PSAs, and group administrative professionals in a team environment marked by close cooperation, regular communication, adaptability, and a shared-outcome attitude. Serve as resource and role model for ISR administrative staff. Interface and work with other administrative staff across the directorate.

Professional ExpertiseAdvanced-level experience providing high-level administrative support in a busy office environment, including complex calendar management, domestic and international travel coordination, procurement, meeting logistics, visitor processing, timekeeping, accurate data entry, and tracking. Demonstrated ability to solve problems, implement solutions, and improve business practices to enhance customer satisfaction. Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex administrative functions with minimal supervision, exercising sound judgment and discretion.
Business SystemsExpert-level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to produce professional documents, reports, spreadsheets, and presentations. Demonstrated database management skills and experience supporting specialized functions such as webpage maintenance and HR-related processes.
Decision MakingAbility to work independently with minimal oversight, take initiative, and make sound decisions within established guidelines. Experience interpreting policy, conducting research, analyzing issues, and recommending solutions to improve office operations and efficiency.

Education/
Experience:
Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant area and 5 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.
