Per Diem Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Variable Shift) – Los Alamitos

Position Summary: Under general direction of the Director of Diagnostic Imaging, the nuclear medicine technologist is directly responsible for maintaining a safe and efficient nuclear medicine department using radioactive isotopes for enhanced diagnostic imaging. The technologist is responsible for performing all nuclear medicine procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general duties and procedures in nuclear medicine; maintain safe and efficient department practices.
- Work under general direction of the Director of Diagnostic Imaging.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols when handling radioactive isotopes.
- Collaborate with other health system departments to provide high quality patient care.
Required Qualifications:
- Current and active NMTCB and/or ARRT (N) licensure for Nuclear Medicine, registered & licensed by the State of California.
- CPR Certification.
- Demonstrated customer service skills appropriate to the position.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the health system.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years progressively responsible experience under a nuclear related program or job.
- Knowledge of university and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms.
