Critical Care Nurse in Lorain, OH

A specialized opportunity is available for experienced Registered Nurses with critical care expertise to provide exceptional care in a Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This role involves delivering complex patient care in a 19-bed unit dedicated to acute stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), seizures, and post-surgical patients with intensive monitoring requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide critical nursing care to patients requiring invasive intracranial pressure monitoring and frequent neurological assessments.
• Manage hemodynamic monitoring and coordinate routine imaging procedures such as CT, MRI, and angiography.
• Maintain patient-to-nurse ratios of 2-3:1, ensuring high-quality, personalized care.
• Adapt to rotational shifts covering day and night schedules, with occasional floating to other ICUs or step-down units as needed.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current RN licensure with demonstrated ICU experience.
• Proficient in neurocritical care nursing, including acute stroke and neurosurgical patient management.
• Ability to perform detailed neurological assessments and manage invasive monitoring devices.
