Registered Nurse IR - Lorain, OH

Exceptional opportunity for a Registered Nurse with Interventional Radiology (IR) expertise to contribute within a dynamic clinical environment in Lorain, OH. This contract position involves working in a high-acuity Interventional Radiology department equipped with specialized suites including body IR, neuro IR, CT, and ultrasound interventional rooms. The department supports a 12-bed Pre/Post-operative care area, maintaining an average patient-to-nurse ratio of 3:1, ensuring focused and quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in both the Pre/Post-operative and interventional procedure areas.
• Float effectively between the Pre/Post area and various procedure rooms, adapting swiftly to clinical demands.
• Manage patient monitoring and support during interventional radiology procedures, adhering to safety and care protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain efficient workflow and optimize patient outcomes.
• Fulfill On-Call duties including two weekends (Saturday-Sunday) and one weeknight per month as part of the clinical support schedule.

Desired Experience:

• Current RN license with verified experience in Interventional Radiology nursing.
• Proficiency in patient assessment, procedural assistance, and post-procedure monitoring.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-tech interventional environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility to float between procedure and Pre/Post areas during a 40-hour workweek.
