13-week Travel Med/Surg Tele RN (12-hr nights) in Lorain, OH — caring for Ortho, Neuro, and Telemetry patients on a 29-bed unit.

Join a dynamic healthcare team as a Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse in Lorain, Ohio (44053). This 13-week travel assignment offers hands-on clinical nursing experience on a 29-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit serving orthopedics, neuroscience, and telemetry patients. Lorain is a lakeside community on Lake Erie with parks, waterfront activities, and a welcoming local culture—an excellent location for Ohio nursing jobs and travel RN opportunities.

• Location: Lorain, Ohio 44053 (Lorain healthcare jobs, Ohio nursing jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 6, 2026 – July 6, 2026)
• Role: Travel Registered Nurse (RN), Med/Surg Telemetry
• Shift: 12-Hour Nights
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1800-$1890
• Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry (2W), 29 beds, typical 1:5 to 1:6 patient ratio
• Patient Population: Orthopedics, Neuroscience, Telemetry
• Scheduling: Every other weekend and holiday required
• Scrubs: Navy blue

• Active RN license in Ohio or compact state (Registered Nurse, RN)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical Med/Surg Tele RN experience required (telemetry monitoring preferred)
• BLS and ACLS required; NIH Stroke Certification required
• Must pass Dysrhythmia Exam (study guide available) and demonstrate ability to read telemetry strips in EPIC
• Experience managing insulin drips/gtts and other drips
• Experience with wound care, PICC and central line management, and advanced airway modalities (BiPAP, CPAP, High Flow)
• Strong documentation skills in EPIC and effective interdisciplinary communication
• Travel experience not required — open to experienced Med/Surg Tele RNs and travel RNs

• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans
• Administer medications and safely manage drips including Cardizem, Heparin, and Insulin
• Monitor cardiac telemetry, interpret strips, and escalate abnormalities per protocol using EPIC
• Provide care for patients with wounds, PICC lines, central lines, and advanced respiratory support
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate quality patient care
• Serve as a patient advocate and ensure patient safety and evidence-based clinical practice
• Accurately document nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EPIC
• Participate in continuous quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and patient/family education
