Travel RN - Med​/Surg - Oncology

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Oncology position on a 32-bed unit working 12-hour night shifts with required NIH certification and dysrhythmia testing.

Job Details

• Work on a 32-bed Med/Surg Oncology unit (4 West) in a hospital setting,

• 12-hour night shift schedule,

• Patient care involves CVC line draws, IV starts, medication administration, and wound care,

• Equipment used includes Hoyer lift, Arjo equipment, Alaris pumps, epidural/PCA pumps, Kangaroo pumps, wound vacs, and high-flow O2,

Job Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand,

• Required certifications: BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS),

• Oncology experience preferred but not required,

• Proof of address documentation required for consideration (e.g., Driver's License, Voter Registration card, Federal Income Tax return, Military Form No. 2058, or W2 from US government),

• Full SSN and DOB (MM/DD) required for consideration,

• 1 supervisory reference required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Provides patient care using the nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation as part of a multidisciplinary team,

• Responsibilities include patient assessments, nursing care plans, individualized patient teaching, medication administration, care coordination, and patient advocacy,

• Pass/fail EKG (dysrhythmia) exam is required on the first day with two attempts allowed; study guides will be provided,

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
