American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Inpatient Rehab Med Surg unit with a valid OH or compact RN license and strong skills in IV starts, wound care, and telemetry.

• Position is located in an inpatient rehabilitation Med Surg unit
• 30-bed unit serving varied adult patients requiring rehabilitation
• 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Unit uses equipment such as hoyer lift, arjo equipment, alaris pumps, CVC line draws, kangaroo pumps, wound vacs, and omnicell
• Care includes IV starts, medication administration, central line management, wound care, and telemetry monitoring
• Dysrhythmia (EKG) exam is required on the first day with two attempts allowed; study guide provided
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius will not be considered
• Acts as a patient safety advocate and participates in department quality improvement initiatives
• Collaborates with an interdisciplinary care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Responsible for medication administration and care coordination across departments
• Expected to demonstrate nursing judgment, patient teaching, health promotion, and advocacy
• Professional accountability and conflict management skills are essential
• Scrubs or dress code policies will be communicated by the unit prior to assignment
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• At least 2 years of experience as an RN
• Associate degree or diploma in nursing required; BSN preferred
• Experience with telemetry and inpatient rehabilitation nursing required
• Ability to perform IV starts, wound care, and manage central lines
• Must pass facility EKG testing within two attempts on first day
