Base pay range$70,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr
A Cleveland-based general contractor is hiring a Sales & Marketing Specialist to modernize and lead the company’s marketing efforts as their first in-house hire dedicated to growth. This role will refresh the website, establish and manage social media presence, strengthen branding, support preconstruction and proposal efforts, and build relationships with architects and industry partners to generate new opportunities. You’ll work directly with the owners, represent the company externally, and act as the go-to expert, drive visibility, and lead generation.
The ideal candidate is a self-directed, experienced marketing professional who knows how to build momentum without hand holding and wants to grow alongside a tight-knit, values-driven company.
- Lead the refresh and ongoing management of the company website to reflect current capabilities and markets
- Build and execute a modern branding and messaging strategy from the ground up
- Launch, manage, and grow social media platforms
- Increase regional and national visibility across Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Indiana
- Support business development by generating leads and strengthening brand awareness
- Build and maintain relationships with architects, designers, and key industry partners through meetings and site visits
- Help secure bid opportunities by getting the company listed on bid sheets and staying top-of-mind with decision-makers
- Create marketing collateral, including brochures, presentations, and client-facing materials
- Support RFQs, proposals, and preconstruction efforts with visuals, messaging, and content
- Represent the company at industry events, meetings, and networking opportunities
- Act as the internal subject matter expert for marketing strategy, execution, and prioritization
- 3+ years of marketing and social media experience, ideally within construction or with a general contractor
- Proven experience in refreshing websites and launching social media platforms from scratch
- Demonstrated ability to generate leads through marketing initiatives
- Experience creating professional marketing collateral and presentation materials
- Comfort meeting clients and partners face-to-face to build long-term relationships
- Degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field - experience considered in place of degree
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to manage projects independently
- Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills
- Comfortable working onsite full-time in Lorain, OH
- Project management experience preferred
- Familiarity with Canva, Google Analytics, Adobe Creative Suite, and emerging AI tools preferred
- Construction industry experience preferred
