Park Maintenance II - Lakeview Park

Description

Performs a wide range of general maintenance, repair, and construction activities while maintaining and improving the park district’s resources and facilities. Leads work crews, assists with project planning, and monitors park district grounds as assigned.

Rate of Pay: $21.84 per hour

• Completion of secondary education (high school or GED).
• Two years of college in natural resources, education, or a related field (preferred).
• Two years of experience in natural resources/parks or related field experience in skilled or semi‑skilled maintenance and repair, or construction trades involving heavy construction equipment.
• Experience with directing others, assigning work orders, scheduling, and purchasing.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license and background check.
• May be required to obtain a pesticide applicator’s license.
• May be required to obtain a valid Ohio commercial driver’s license of the appropriate class with the necessary endorsements.
• Lorain County Metro Park District policy prohibits hiring new employees who use tobacco.
