Routine work receiving, storing, and issuing commodities, materials, supplies, tools, and equipment. Orders and delivers station and EMS supplies for 21 stations and protective clothing, and firefighting tools for 500+ employees. Processes protective gear for decontamination, and readies for repairs. Maintains inventory of items in the warehouse using manual and electronic devices. Delivers on schedule station and EMS supplies.
Salary will be determined depending on qualifications of candidates who exceed the minimum requirements as outlined within the job description.
Additional compensation based on licensure.

Orders, receives, stores, issues, and delivers materials, supplies, tools, and equipment from large and varied stock of supplies.
Processes purchase orders and requisitions for approval.
Maintains perpetual inventory and stores records using a personal computer or manual recordkeeping system.
Estimates stock needs and consults with Division supervisors as to changes in inventory levels, delivery quantities, and delivery dates.
Inspects goods, tools, and equipment received or returned, and reports missing, damaged, or destroyed tools and equipment.
Lifts and transports heavy boxes, supplies, furniture, and equipment.
Weighs and stamps packages, letters, and post cards and prepares them for mailing.
Operates standard office equipment to include personal computer, scale, photocopier, and other office equipment.
Cleans and maintains storage and adjacent areas in an orderly fashion.

Additional DutiesPerforms other duties as assigned or as may be necessary.
In the event of an emergency, all employees are considered essential personnel and may be required to perform alternate duties.
High School Diploma or GED and one (1) year experience in the keeping of a store, parts or warehouse; maintenance of inventory records required, or an equivalent combination of related training and experience. Ability to perform duties during natural disasters and other emergency events which may exceed normal working hours.
A comparable amount of education, training, or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
Knowledge of storeroom/warehouse methods and procedures including inventory recordkeeping and purchasing requisition procedures.
Considerable knowledge of commodities, materials, tools, supplies and equipment preferred.
Knowledge of arithmetic and modern recordkeeping methods will be preferred.
Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare routine reports as assigned by supervisor.
Ability to determine quality of goods against prescribed specification.
The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to internal and external customers is a must.
Ability to use a personal computer and learn associated software necessary to maintain an accurate inventory of supplies.
Ability to fuel fire department apparatus and remote fuel stations during all weather conditions.
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License.
All employees must attend Seminole County Required Trainings.
Department Specific trainings per position may be required.
