Job Overview/Summary

The Associate Veterinarian is responsible for providing high‑quality medical, surgical, and preventative care to companion animals. This role offers a collaborative environment with mentorship opportunities for new graduates and access to advanced resources to support professional growth and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive physical examinations and diagnose medical conditions.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans and prescribe medications.
  • Perform routine and advanced surgical and dental procedures as appropriate.
  • Provide preventative care including vaccinations, wellness exams, and client education.
  • Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and follow‑up care.
  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure high‑quality patient care.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
Primary Skills

Qualifications
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution
  • Active Florida Veterinary License or ability to obtain and remain in good standing
  • DEA license or eligibility to obtain
