Dental Care in Longwood is looking for a full‑time Dental Hygienist in Longwood, FL, to join our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction in a team‑based environment. Work Schedule
  • Monday - Thursday and alternating Fridays
Responsibilities
  • Perform routine dental cleanings and periodontal maintenance
  • Conduct oral health assessments and take dental X‑rays
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventative care
  • Assist dentists with exams and treatments as needed
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with industry regulations
  • Follow sterilization and infection control protocols
  • Deliver periodontal therapies and other hygiene‑related services to improve oral health
  • Under limited supervision, provide oral hygiene treatment and education in accordance with state guidelines
  • Perform patient screening, medical history and dental charting
  • Apply fluoride and protective sealants; remove calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line
  • Provide nutritional counseling and self‑care programs to prevent disease
  • Other duties as required
Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
  • Active or pending Florida Hygiene License
  • X‑Ray License required
  • Certification in local anesthesia (if applicable)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail‑oriented with a commitment to patient care and comfort
  • Hands‑on experience as a Hygienist
  • Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene school; current state license
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • New graduates are welcome to apply
