Dental Care in Longwood is looking for a full‑time Dental Hygienist in Longwood, FL, to join our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction in a team‑based environment. - Monday - Thursday and alternating Fridays
- Perform routine dental cleanings and periodontal maintenance
- Conduct oral health assessments and take dental X‑rays
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventative care
- Assist dentists with exams and treatments as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with industry regulations
- Follow sterilization and infection control protocols
- Deliver periodontal therapies and other hygiene‑related services to improve oral health
- Under limited supervision, provide oral hygiene treatment and education in accordance with state guidelines
- Perform patient screening, medical history and dental charting
- Apply fluoride and protective sealants; remove calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line
- Provide nutritional counseling and self‑care programs to prevent disease
- Other duties as required
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
- Active or pending Florida Hygiene License
- X‑Ray License required
- Certification in local anesthesia (if applicable)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail‑oriented with a commitment to patient care and comfort
- Hands‑on experience as a Hygienist
- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene school; current state license
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
