Aboutthe Operations Assistant Manager role
Are you a natural leader with an eye for operational excellence? Trustco Bank is looking for an Operations Assistant Manager to help steer our daily activities. You will lead a high-performing team, ensuring that every transaction— from a simple deposit to a complex ACH file— is processed with 100% accuracy and world‑class customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Team Empowerment:
Directly supervise and train department staff on the latest policies and procedures, fostering a culture of professional growth. - Performance Tracking:
Monitor department KPIs and vendor reports to ensure we are always exceeding our service standards. - Digital Commerce Specialist:
Take the lead on processing daily Business Online ACH files and managing customer inquiries for Bill Pay. - Quality Control Agent:
Review account maintenance exceptions, ensuring every branch stays compliant by catching and correcting errors before they become issues. - Central Hub of Communication:
Act as the go‑to resource for branch and department inquiries via our ticket system, email, and phone.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; higher education or financial experience is a plus.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Self‑motivated with a collaborative spirit.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Fluent in English; bilingual a plus.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Previous banking or financial services experience.
Full-time Position With Hours Aligned To Department Operations
- Monday – Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Physical DemandsPrimarily sedentary; includes use of standard office equipment.
