Job Description- Peace Health St. John Medical Center | Longview, WA
- $45.37–$68.44/hr (rate depends on education, training, experience, any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.)

Help patients receive timely, accurate diagnoses through high-quality cardiac imaging. Work with a supportive, collaborative department that values inclusion, respect, and whole-person care.
What You’ll Do- Perform the right cardiac exam based on the patient and the order.
- Confirm the exam type with the ordering or interpreting physician when needed.
- Capture clear images and complete the study from start to finish.
- Create a preliminary report within your scope of practice.
- Update the patient record so the interpreting physician has what they need.
- Plan your day and coordinate the schedule as needed.
- Keep basic logs and help with simple clerical tasks.
- Prepare exam rooms and stock supplies before each study.
- Check and calibrate equipment; report issues promptly.
- Use good judgment to flag possible abnormal findings during exams.
- Review prior studies, labs, and patient history to tailor each exam.
- Adjust settings to get the most diagnostic views for interpretation.
- Support vascular exams if you have the experience (preferred, not required).
- Carry out other tasks within your license and training.
- Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Sonography program (or equivalent).
- Bachelor’s in Ultrasound Technology preferred.
- RDCS or RCS (or registry-eligible).
- Ability to obtain ARDMS or CCI registration within one year if not already certified.
- BLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross) required at hire.
- Experience with imaging systems (PACS/RIS).
- At least 1 year of diagnostic ultrasound experience in a hospital preferred.
- Vascular experience preferred, not required.
