Working Superintendent

Locally based excavation contractor serving the Longview / Cowlitz County area. The company operates with a small, experienced crew and focuses on quality execution, efficiency, and reputation-driven work rather than volume-driven growth.

• A superintendent or foreman tired of large-company bureaucracy

• Lead and coordinate daily field operations across active excavation projects
• Supervise crews, equipment usage, and jobsite productivity
• Plan and sequence work to meet schedules and deadlines
• Act as the primary field point of contact with ownership
• Maintain safety awareness and jobsite discipline
• Solve problems in real time — utilities, access, weather, production issues
• Ensure work is completed correctly, efficiently, and professionally
• Occasional hands‑on work depending on project needs

• Experience as an Excavation Superintendent, Working Superintendent, or Senior Foreman
• Strong background in excavation, sitework, grading, trenching, or utilities
• Comfortable leading small crews and making day‑to‑day field decisions
• Local to Longview / SW Washington (or already established in the area)
• Self‑directed, accountable, and hands‑on by nature
• This is not a desk‑heavy PM role

Base Salary: $100,000–$120,000 (depending on experience)
