Job Description Summary

Operate Commercial Motor Vehicle (Tractor‑trailer) combinations, usually long distances, to transport and off‑load compressed and liquefied industrial gases to customers or to storage sites safely, timely, accurately, and collaboratively. Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections to identify any maintenance action required and take appropriate steps if action is needed. Partner with your supervisor to report all accidents, possible injuries, safety issues, driving citations, and customer complaints immediately.

Complete and submit reports as required by the DOT and/or Airgas company policy.

  • Pilot tractor‑trailers to deliver industrial gases to customers or storage sites.
  • Perform pre- and post‑trip inspections and address maintenance needs.
  • Collaborate with the team to report accidents, safety issues, citations, and customer complaints immediately.
  • Complete required DOT and company reports.
Required Qualifications
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • 3+ years of experience as a driver of tractor‑trailer vehicles.
  • Class A CDL with Haz Mat and Tanker endorsements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED, two years technical college, or military technical experience.
  • Ideally, 3 years of Haz‑Mat or Tanker experience.
  • Familiarity with or desire to learn about cryogenic, compressed, and specialty gases welcomed.
