Job Description SummaryOperate Commercial Motor Vehicle (Tractor-trailer) combinations, usually long distances, to transport and off-load compressed and liquefied industrial gases to customers or to storage sites in a safe, timely, accurate, and collaborative manner. Perform pre & post trip inspections to identify any maintenance action that may be required and take the appropriate steps if action is needed. Partner with your supervisor to report all accidents, possible injuries, safety issues, driving citations, and customer complaints (including service interruptions) immediately.
Complete and submit reports as required by the DOT and/or Airgas company policy.
- Pilot tractor-trailers to deliver industrial gases to customers or storage sites.
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and address maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with the team to report accidents, safety issues, citations, and customer complaints immediately.
- Complete required DOT and company reports.
Are you a MATCH?
Required Qualifications- To meet safety standards, you are at least 21 years of age.
- You must have 3+ years of experience as a driver of tractor-trailer vehicles.
- Class A CDL with Haz Mat and Tanker endorsements.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), two years technical college, or military technical experience.
- Ideally, you bring three (3) years of Haz-Mat or Tanker experience.
- Familiarity with or a desire to learn about cryogenic, compressed, and specialty gases is welcomed.
