* Job Summary:

** Maintains product levels and quality control in produce department. Ensures fresh fruits and vegetables are prepared and displayed in accordance with Company standards and all regulatory food safety practices. Promotes customer service and sales building practices.  
** SCOPE OF WORK
** Displays a list of typical duties and accountabilities. List is not based on order of priority.

* Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

*** Works in conjunction with upper management to train and develop partners, schedule, plan, assign, and direct work. Assists with establishing departmental workflow and ensures adequate staff is scheduled.
* Supports upper management with the review of historical data regarding sales, ads and promotions. Co-manages inventory using item management processes to ensure satisfactory in-stock levels. May review profit and loss, sales, shrink, and labor data with department manager.
* Maintains full stock conditions on produce display racks, tables, and shelves.
* Safely prepares fresh cut fruit for packaging, trays and juices.
* Slices, weighs, packages, and labels product.
* Promotes product sales through use of suggestive selling initiatives.
* Inspects product for quality and maintains quality control and food safety standards. Ensures dated product is stocked, rotated, or discarded properly if unsold.
* Uses sharp tools for cutting fruit. Cuts and trims product to ensure high quality presentation and appearance.
* Takes precautionary safety measures when using equipment and work tools.
* Operates pallet jack to unload product from warehouse trucks and reloads trucks with return items.
* Assists fellow partners and customers by responding to price check questions and exchanging and/or locating product.
* Provides friendly and customer service-oriented attitude by greeting customers, answering questions, and responding to customer complaints.
* Maintains clean, safe and sanitary working and shopping environment by adhering to Company safety procedures. Complies with all Company policies and procedures.
* Practices high sanitary standards for handling raw and uncooked food products.

*** Ability to operate manual or electric pallet jack.
* Ability to safely operate and maintain department equipment.
* Ability to handle objects carefully to avoid damage to items, people, vehicles, and property.
