* Job Summary:

Perform routine welding work on HVAC units according to blueprints, company standards and applicable standards to meet inspection criteria in accordance with defined requirements.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

*** Executes routine welding tasks on HVAC units.
* Ability to set up and maintain welding machine (tip, liner, changes, etc.) and weld vertical, horizontal, and overhead.
* Inspect welds for cracks, burn through and weld spatter.
* Use basic hand, electric, cordless, and pneumatic tools, as required.
* Grind and clean areas where required.
* Stay current in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and basic mechanical adjustments on all equipment as needed.
* Follow hazardous waste disposal program and fire prevention procedures.

* Education and Experience Requirements:

** High school diploma or GED preferred.
1-3 years’ experience as a welder. Prior work experience with Lean Manufacturing processes preferred.
** Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
*** High school diploma or GED preferred.
* Welding Certifications preferred but not required
* Ability to read and use a tape measure for precise measurements.
* Ability to read and understand blueprints, as well as weld symbols.
* Process knowledge and experience to set up, adjust, and maintain welding machines.
* Ability to communicate professionally and follow directions.
* Ability to work in a team environment.
* Must be able to pass the required welding certification test.
** Work Environment and

Physical Requirements:

*** Frequent exposure to manufacturing facilities with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.
* Ability to stand comfortably for prolonged periods of time, as much as 95% of the workday.
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
