Manager, Materials Control

• Collaborates with the Senior Manager, Inventory Control and other managers and departments to plan and coordinate the receipt, inspection, storage, and usage of materials.
• Closely monitors and controls inventory levels and works with the Supervisor, Warehouse to proactively acquire or move materials to meet production needs.
• Provides input on the evaluation and improvement of materials management processes and policies.
• Leads, trains, and coaches Supervisors, Materials Control and ensures the Supervisor is hiring, training, and coaching team members for assigned location.
• Serves as a model for team members and serves as a point of escalation for complex problems and employee situations.
• Ensures safe and efficient warehouse operations at all locations.

Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration or a related field preferred, but not required. A minimum of 5 years of related experience HVAC industry experience, 2 of which are in management. 8 years of related experience is preferred.

• Experience in materials management, inventory control, purchasing or a similar role.
• Knowledge of materials management software and systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.
• Excellent organizational, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.

• Reading comprehension skills and ability to read small print.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for 95% of workdays.
• Ability to work in manufacturing facilities and regularly be exposed to varying and extreme temperatures, loud noises, dust, chemical fumes, sharp metal objects, and heavy forklift traffic.
