Overview
Texas Oncology is searching for a Certified Medical Physicist to join our East Texas Physics POD (Longview/Tyler/Palestine). The Medical Physicist will be actively working with 4 other physicists and 6 dosimetrists in the region.

EquipmentWithin the East Texas POD we operate 7 Varian Linacs (2‑True Beam, 1‑Halcyon, 4 2100 C‑Series). The region also operates 2 active HDR programs, via Nucletron afterloaders. Planning and verification systems include Eclipse, Brain Lab, Vari Seed, Oncentra, Aria, Radformation, and Rad Calc. Programs include SBRT, SRS, HDR, LDR, and radiopharmaceuticals. Texas Oncology also provides many vendor webinars, its own journal club, and the opportunity to serve on many company‑wide physics committees.
The candidate should have a MS or PhD degree in Physics or Medical Physics from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two to five years’ experience in radiation oncology physics. The candidate should have a current A certification or be in the process of obtaining certification (completed part
1) and maintain a valid Texas state license for medical physics as required.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in all aspects of radiation oncology physics, including a good working knowledge of SRS, SBRT and HDR.

ResponsibilitiesPreferred Experience:
- Working knowledge of Varian linear accelerators as well as Varian Vari Source/Bravos HDR afterloader
- Working knowledge of Eclipse and Brachyvision
- A working knowledge of MOSAIQ Radiation Oncology Information System
- Working knowledge of HDR, SBRT and SRS procedures
- Working knowledge of Radiation safety
