Overview
A freestanding ER in Longview, TX is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join their night shift team to work 6–8-hour shifts. The Radiologic Technologist at Hospitality Health ER cares for all patients including neonates, infants, children, adults, and geriatrics. The Radiologic Technologist will strive to provide proficient, competent care while maintaining the patient’s sense of comfort and dignity.
Responsibilities for the Radiologic Technologist- Operating radiologic equipment to produce radiographs (X-rays) of the body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by Radiologist.
- Positioning patients on the exam table appropriately and adjusting immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of the specified area of the body requested by the physician.
- Moving X-ray equipment into the specified position and adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors, such as time and distance, based on knowledge of radiographic exposure techniques and protocols.
- Practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam-restrictive devices, patient shielding skills, and knowledge of applicable exposure factors, to minimize radiation to patient and staff.
- Showing knowledge of the job when collaborating with physicians, nurses, patients, and families.
- Communicating effectively with co-workers, patients, and families.
- Maintaining professionalism in job performance and practice.
- Adhering to the guiding principles and policies set forth by Hospitality Health Emergency Room.
- Completing the ER/Radiology tech skill check-off, showing competency in skills necessary to assist the nurse and physician.

- Graduation from an accredited approved school of Radiologic Technology.
- One year of radiologic/imaging experience.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- CPR certification.
- Current State licensure from TDH.
- Maintains level of continuing education, collaborative training, and interactions in the radiology field.
- Pay is commensurate with experience
