Job scope

Oversee the full implementation of the FEP program. To ensure correct personnel are hired, trained and implementing the FEP Program to fidelity. Responsible for managing grant funding to insure allowable expenses do not exceed budget and meet funder's expectations of service delivery. Will use the appropriate evidenced based curriculum required for the service provided. Will provide outreach and education to the community on FEP services.

Will be familiar with Child and Adolescent and Adult service delivery Levels of Care and the assessment tools CANS/ANSA. Services will be provided in the community and office settings. Will become familiar with FEP program requirements and will adhere to program performance measures and reporting. Will ensure 24/7 crisis coverage for participants. Able to coordinate and communicate internally with CHC's system of care and externally with other providers and referral agents.

Will provide clinical services necessary for diagnosing, intake, counseling, crisis intervention and recovery plan development. Will oversee the clinical services of FEP team members. Therapist will use professional and technical skills as described in Core Competency Inventory.

Education / Licensure
  • Master's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work
  • Licensed in the State of Texas as a LPC, LCSW, or LMFT
  • Current valid driver's license in state of residence. Proof of automobile liability insurance and insurable by the Center insurance carrier.
Experience / Knowledge

Must demonstrate knowledge and applied competency in assessment, diagnosis, and psychotherapy for children and adults with psychiatric disorders. Must be able to demonstrate good oral and written communication.

Physical requirements that are bona fide occupational qualifications essential to the performance of the job
  • Ability and strength to sit, bend, and reach during an 8 to 10 hour day.
  • Able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds.
  • Sensory acuity sufficient to evaluate, treat, and monitor patient needs and maintain accurate records.
  • Fine motor skills sufficient to legibly document and communicate.
