Financial Analyst, Accounts Receivable/ Collections
Ability to perform accounting duties including, but not limited to daily and monthly reconciliation of accounts. Adhere to the policies and procedures related to performing timely and efficient reconciliation of assigned accounts (general ledger, checking, loans, etc.) and exercise close attention to all pertinent details that entails completion of said reconcilements and other job duties as assigned.
Provides secure, accurate, responsive, and courteous customer service to both internal and external customers at all times. Maintain strict confidentiality of customer and banking relationships.
Primary objective of this position is to be a trusted advisor to every internal and external customer. Inspires confidence and builds lasting relationships by consistently exhibiting each of the trusted advisor skills in order to help our customers identify and achieve their financial goals.
Essential Job Functions:- Performs daily reconciliation of various accounts (Cash, ACH, Due From Bank, GL Monitoring/Exception, Intra Fi)
- Performs bi-weekly 945 Back-up Tax Remittance and reconciles monthly Other Assets & Liabilities
- Reconciles monthly Sales Tax reconciliation
- Reconciles monthly Credit Life and Gap reconciliations
- Reconciles monthly Rental Spreadsheets
- Primary backup for Purchasing
- Primary backup for monthly reconciliation of Fixed Assets, Prepaids, Accruals, and HR recons
- Primary backup for Due From Bank settlement
- Keep skills current for all assigned cross-trained job functions in order to perform them adequately when needed
- Other duties as requested by supervisor or other management representatives of the bank
Qualification Requirements:
- Associates degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and/or
- Minimum 3 years’ accounting and/or bank operations experience
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel/Word, Adobe Creator, typewriter, and calculator (10-key)
- Strong problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills
- Possess strong organizational and time management skills
- Be responsive and possess the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness, while demonstrating sound judgment and some decision making
- High regard for confidentiality and possess a great degree of integrity
- High degree of professionalism and maturity
- Must comply with all bank policies and procedures that are job related and/or consistent with business necessity
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of self or others
Conditions:
- Must be able to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push or pull or otherwise move objects within the immediate workstation.
- Must be able to walk, sit or stand frequently, up to 50% of the time.
- Must be able to tolerate encounters with coworkers and customers under the following conditions: atmospheric pollutants or allergens, including but not limited to fumes, odors, dusts, poor ventilation; changes in indoor/outdoor temperatures encountered in travel between buildings and branches.
- Other physical attributes required to successfully perform the essential functions above include finger agility, talking, and listening.
