Position Summary
Manage office activities for the City Administrator. Coordinate with departments and outside agencies, ensure compliance with state/local laws, and support municipal governance. Highly preferred: 3-5+ years City Secretary experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage incoming/outgoing mail related to City business; prepare/check documents for council/public distribution.
Administer municipal elections, agendas, and Open Meetings Act compliance.
Maintain public/historical records, reports, council minutes, and legal documents.
Coordinate collections, disbursements, taxes, grants, and budget reporting.
Ensure policy/regulatory compliance (HR, elections, records).
Handle council agendas/minutes, public inquiries, and inter-department coordination.
ExperienceMinimum 3 years in City Secretary/or equal administrative assistant role (5+ highly preferred).
SkillsProficient in Microsoft Office;
Quick Books knowledge/experience required for financial tracking/reporting.
Texas Open Meetings Act, municipal records mgmt, elections, budgeting/grants.
EducationAssociates degree or greater.
OtherStrong organizational skills; ability to handle confidential records.
