Position: Distribution Center Operations Manager - (Weekend Shift)
About the Role
We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Distribution Center Operations Manager to lead our distribution center team and ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our Distribution operation. As the Distribution Center Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of our distribution center's operations. You will be responsible for managing a team of supervisors and associates, optimizing processes, and ensuring the timely and accurate distribution of products to our customers.
This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of distribution center operations.
This position will lead our weekend shift from Friday to Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Central Time.

Team Leadership: Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of supervisors and warehouse associates to ensure high levels of performance, engagement, and productivity. Supervising a team of Shift Supervisors (2-5 front-line supervisors, depending on location) and associates in outbound or inbound operations. Carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and proceduresOperational Excellence: Continuously improving distribution center processes to maximize efficiency, accuracy, and safety while minimizing costsInventory Management: Overseeing inventory control and management, ensuring accuracy in stock levels, tracking, and cycle countingQuality Assurance: Implementing and maintaining quality control measures to meet or exceed product quality standardsHealth and Safety: Ensuring the overall safety, quality, performance, and customer experience of the shiftPerformance Metrics: Setting and monitoring KPIs, tracking performance metrics, and implementing corrective actions as needed to achieve operational goals. Engaging in strategic planning and forecasting, appraising performance, resolving problems, and addressing staffing needsBudget Management: Developing and managing the distribution center budget, controlling expenses, and optimizing resource allocationVendor Relations: Coordinating with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely deliveries and resolving any issues that may ariseTechnology Utilizations: Implementing and leveraging warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology tools to enhance operational efficiencyContinuous Improvement: Driving process improvements and keeping pace with growth while motivating others to meet challenges in a deadline-driven environmentRegulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with all relevant industry regulations and standardsAssisting with other responsibilities as assigned based on business needsAbout You
Candidates must be available to work weekends regularly and support other shifts based on business needsMust be able to work in an environment where the noise level varies and can be loudBachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related fieldProven experience (5+ years) in distribution center management or similar roles within the logistics industryStrong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectivelyExcellent problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesAbility to develop and share best practices across the shifts and networkMentor, train and develop teammates for career progression and learningIn-depth knowledge of distribution center operations, inventory management, and logisticsProficiency in using warehouse management systems and related softwareStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentKnowledge of safety and regulatory compliance in warehouse operationsBudget management experience is a plusAbout Ariat

The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 per year.
The salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data for geographic locations. Ariat in good faith believes that this posted compensation range is accurate for this role at this location at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
