Data Transformation Lead

Overview

Insight Global is seeking a Data Transformation Lead to join a top aerospace company in Longueuil, QC. This role is 5x week onsite.

This role focuses on delivering practical data improvements like standardizing data product creation, improving data quality, modernizing reporting, and enabling actionable analytics to support shop productivity, fleet reliability, and commercial performance.

• Own and manage external & third‑party data products by onboarding new data sources, ensuring data quality and SLAs, setting access and usage standards
• Embed and operate data governance by defining data owners, standardizing definitions and metadata, monitoring data quality, and tracking governance maturity and progress.
• Partner closely with business teams as the primary data contact: running workshops, gathering requirements, identifying reporting gaps, and shaping business cases for analytics and data improvements.
• Lead delivery of data and reporting initiatives by coordinating across data engineering, BI, IT, procurement, and legal teams, while managing scope, timelines, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
• Drive adoption and change by rolling out new dashboards and data products, supporting training and documentation, collecting user feedback, and monitoring usage to continuously improve solutions

• 6-10 years of professional experience working in a data-intensive environment (ideally in an enterprise level company)
• Proven experience leading or coordinating data, reporting, or analytics initiatives, working across technical and business teams.
• Experience translating business needs into data and reporting solutions, bridging the gap between stakeholders and technical teams.
• Working knowledge of ERP and operational systems (e.g., SAP, CRM)
• Experience using modern data platforms (data lakes, cloud analytics environments).

• French is an asset
• Prior experience in an aerospace, manufacturing, or highly regulated environment (banking)
