Areas of ExpertiseYour role is supporting design modules throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) process and is responsible for delivering key technical documents, including Major Assembly Drawings, Installation Drawings, Clear Index Charts, and Tables of Limits – essential for engine certification.
Key Responsibilities- Create and maintain Engine Digital Mock-Ups (DMU), ensuring accurate integration of CAD models to represent a complete engine.
- Develop and update Major Assembly Drawings, Clearance Index Charts, Table of Limits, Installation Drawings, and other engine-level engineering documents based on layouts, references, and technical data.
- Manage and maintain External Mock-Up (EMU) data, ensuring compliance with IP (Intellectual Property) and ITC (International Trade Compliance) regulations during data transfers to customers.
- Actively participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to ensure that design intent is accurately captured in all technical documentation.
- Provide and obtain all necessary information to meet technical requirements, enhance product quality, and resolve design or procedural issues.
- Conduct impact analyses and implement Change Orders (COs) to update engineering documentation accordingly.
- Adapt to new procedures, tools, techniques, and technologies to meet evolving project requirements.
- Participate in internal drawing review meetings with integrators, providing technical input to enhance design accuracy and manufacturability.
- Perform additional tasks and assignments related to the engine product definition as required to support engineering, production or customer service objectives.
- College Degree or higher (two years duration).
- At least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Catia experience (or other CAD/CAM systems).
- Understanding of basic drafting conventions and principles.
- Communication and teamwork skills.
- Demonstrated organizational skills.
- Knowledge of eCates, DNA, SAP, CATIA.
- Assembly or hands‑on experience.
- Project management and problem‑solving skills.
