About the Department

The Warehouse department at Spark Fun is responsible for maintaining over 2,000 unique parts. Accuracy and quality are of the utmost importance. The department consists of Receiving, Inventory Control and Shipping. Spark Fun's Next Warehouse Associate

The Warehouse Associate position is an integral one as it relates to Spark Fun's overall Operations Group. This position interacts with each and every other position across Operations, solving problems and creating a more efficient work place.

The right candidate is someone who has a passion for accuracy and quality, and get's the job done quickly.

Essential Job Functions

• Receive all products both virtually and physically
• Accurately count and physically inspect all products
• Check all SKUs, enter counts into internal ERP system, and process all POs
• Accurately enter data applicable to receiving, including product dimensions, weights, and quantities
• Note any discrepancies or damage to received products, create Quarantine bugs when necessary, and notify the appropriate personnel to handle the issue
• Physically place products in primary inventory locations
• Fulfill internal requests for parts and/or revisions
• Correctly label all products
• Receive & deliver packages for tenants
• Sort product returns and assist in the RMA/RTS process
• Assist in enforcing the best inventory practices, maintaining a clean an organized inventory
• Assist Production and Shipping in the resolution of stock issues
• Complete cycle counts on a weekly basis
• Other warehouse duties as assigned

Requirements
Required Skills

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time (4-7 hours per day)
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to count small components in large quantities
• Attention to detail
• Experience with Google's Suite of products, including GMail, Google Sheets, etc.
• Some level of comfort working with technical equipment, such as scales and counting machines
• Communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred Skills

• Experience using Windows PC
• Ability to use a pallet jack & pallet lift
• Friendly & approachable attitude
• General knowledge of electronics and/or circuitry
• Warehouse, shipping, and/or receiving experience a plus
