Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption and guest loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

  • Communicating and interacting with guests to build an welcoming guest experience

  • Promoting and engaging around various benefits, offerings and services
Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasks
  • Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs
  • Inform guests about current promos, store activities and events
  • Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store, and specific to your area, to solve issues and improve the guest experience
  • Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target
  • Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up as needed
  • Scan and bag guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with safety standards
  • Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
  • Explain how to use features and offerings within the Target App including Wallet
  • Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering, and assist guests with enrollment and use
  • Handle returns following policies; seek leadership help as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and manage supplies during store hours
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance
  • Work safely at all times; comply with safety policies and training; report hazards
  • Support guest services such as order pick up, Drive-up orders and returns while adhering to relevant laws
  • All other duties based on business needs

Basic Job Expectations
  • Accurately handle checkout operations and support cash office tasks as needed
  • Safely scan, handle and move merchandise, lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally (with or without assistance)
  • Flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance required
  • Ability to stay mobile for the duration of a shift
  • Work in varying temperatures and conditions as required by duties such as Drive-Up and carryout
