Sign-on Bonus: $1000 after 90 days of employment
AFC Urgent Care of Longmont is seeking a highly motivated X-ray Tech (LSRT/RT) for a full-time position. The role includes performing medical assisting tasks. The ideal candidate will be assertive, proactive, and eager to expand their medical knowledge. Must be able to work 12-hour shifts. Clinic hours are Monday-Friday 8-8 and Saturday-Sunday 8-5, with approximately 4 weekend days per month. The candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment as a team player, with strong multitasking skills.

- Greet patients, ensure removal of jewelry and metal objects, verify appropriate attire, and pregnancy status.
- Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging.
- Adjust immobilization devices for optimal imaging as requested by the provider.
- Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation.
- Practice radiation safety techniques to minimize exposure.
- Maintain a clean work environment and ensure supplies are stocked.
- Process and review images for quality and proper identification.
- Operate digital and non-digital imaging equipment in compliance with policies.
- Prepare images for provider review and coordinate second opinions if needed.
- Assist providers with prescribed treatments as per standards and protocols.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and arrange repairs when necessary.
- Complete documentation, logs, and reports of work performed.
- Follow safety procedures, promote a safe environment, and report unsafe conditions.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure regular attendance for clinic operations.
- Take vital signs and monitor patient conditions.
- Explain procedures and treatments to patients.
- Prepare equipment and assist providers during examinations and treatments.
- Ensure timely and accurate performance of tests and procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments following approved techniques.
- Monitor patient comfort and needs.
- Maintain lab equipment, perform quality control, and order supplies.
- Draw blood, perform lab tests, and administer IV fluids (training provided).
- Document all lab work and patient interactions accurately.
- Respond to lab messages, manage specimen collection, and observe patient reactions.
- Follow safety and infection control protocols.
- Assist with provider referrals, pre-certifications, and patient history documentation.
- Rotate among clinical services and maintain a clean, stocked work environment.
- Handle difficult customer situations with professionalism.
- Maintain complete documentation and promote a safe work environment.
- Respond to patient messages and assist with discharge duties.
- Attend to other duties as assigned.
- Manage challenging customer interactions with respect and integrity.
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
- Serve as a Medical Receptionist or Medical Assistant when needed.
- Adapt to changing work environments and demands.
