Experience:
• 36 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience with 12 months within the past 3 years.
• Travel experience is preferred from any number of months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Colorado license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program:

Required Skills/Experience:
- Must have 2 years of ICU experience and Prior Charge Nurse Experience.
- If a 1st time traveler - then they need to have 3+ years of ICU experience & have Epic experience.
- Must be comfortable titrating all critical drips:
Pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, insulin, & more. - RNs are expected to read and interpret their own tele.
Unit and facility details: Charge ICU Float:
Combination - MICU, SICU, TICU, CVICU, etc.
Shift & Scheduling: 6-9 weekend shifts in a 6 week schedule. May be asked to go into the Holiday Rotation. Call or standby are rare, for low census.
Floating Requirements: Travelers are expected to float throughout the zone they are hired into. Each zone covers a 60 mile radius from the zone’s city center which is where the 60 mile verbiage comes into play. The traveler is responsible for obtaining housing that makes this feasible as the requirement to float throughout the full 60 mile zone applies regardless of where the traveler obtains housing.
May be asked to float into any other acuity level; ICU, PCU/Stepdown, & MS-Tele. xrlwcon You can also be asked for float outside of your designated facility to sister facilities including:
Ortho Colorado Hospital, Longmont United Hospital. St. Anthony Hospital (Lakewood), St. Anthony North Hospital
(Denver Region, CO).
Other Requirements: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.
