This leader will serve as a strategic business partner to Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to ensure our products meet the rigorous uptime, reliability, and compliance expectations of hyperscale datacenter and power generation customers worldwide (e.g., AWS, Google, Microsoft, Digital Realty, CAT, Cummins, Rolls‑Royce).

This is a hands‑on leadership role requiring both deep subject matter expertise and the ability to architect and scale quality systems in a growing manufacturing organization.

Responsibilities
  • Enterprise Quality Strategy:
Develop and execute a multi‑year Quality Strategy aligned with company growth and global expansion. Assess current quality maturity and build a roadmap to achieve best‑in‑class performance. Establish scalable processes that support growth from current state to $500M+ enterprise operations. Serve as executive advisor to leadership on quality risk, reliability, and customer performance trends.
  • Organizational Development:
Build, mentor, and scale a high‑performing quality team from a foundational state to a mature, enterprise‑level function. Define organizational structure, roles, competencies, and development pathways. Recruit and develop talent with deep expertise in NPI, manufacturing quality, supplier quality, and customer quality disciplines. Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • NPI & Product Reliability:
Embed quality rigor into New Product Introduction processes, including design reviews, risk management, validation testing, and reliability engineering. Lead DFMEA/PFMEA rigor and reliability growth initiatives. Drive reliability engineering practices aligned with mission‑critical uptime requirements. Partner with Product Engineering to improve product robustness, field performance, and lifecycle reliability. Establish structured reliability metrics (MTBF, field failure rate, etc.).
  • Manufacturing & Operational Excellence:
Improve manufacturing quality performance through structured problem‑solving and process control. Drive measurable improvements in First Pass Yield, Cost of Poor Quality, Escapes, and Warranty/field returns. Implement SPC and data‑driven process controls. Integrate Lean/Six Sigma and risk‑based thinking into operational processes. Prepare regular reports for executive leadership on the status of quality initiatives and compliance.
  • Supplier Quality Maturity:
Architect and implement a scalable supplier quality management program. Collaborate with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Product Engineering to build a scalable global supplier quality program, establish supplier scorecards, audit processes, and risk‑tiering models, lead advanced product quality planning (APQP) principles where applicable, and reduce supply chain risk in mission‑critical components.
  • Hyperscale & Mission‑Critical Customer Management:
Serve as executive quality interface for hyperscale datacenter and global OEM power generation customers. Lead customer audits, performance reviews, and corrective action governance. Ensure quality systems meet or exceed expectations for mission‑critical uptime environments, including datacenter and global OEM power generation customers.
