$19.00/hr - $22.00/hr (actual pay based on skills and experience)

• Provide a warm, welcoming, nurturing, and responsive environment for infants.
• Collaborate with the Infant Program Supervisor (IPS) in planning, curriculum development, and implementation of school pedagogy.
• Support a team of infant caregivers, providing guidance, mentorship, and training as needed, in collaboration with the IPS.
• Collaborate with families to ensure open communication and involvement in their child’s development and care.
• Document children’s learning and make it visible in the classroom.
• Collect objective observations to use with the Teaching Strategies Gold software for authentic assessment of children’s learning.
• Facilitate parent‑teacher dialogues twice a year.
• Maintain appropriate records related to children.
• Adhere to health policies implemented by OUR Center and recommended by the CDC, CDPHE, and Boulder County Public Health.
• Follow OUR Center policies and procedures with integrity.

• Attend program‑specific meetings, make presentations when necessary or beneficial, and represent OUR Center in the community with the highest standards.
• Exercise confidentiality, sensitivity, and professionalism, upholding organization’s values and goals.
• Model best practices in early childhood education to peers.
• Stay current on best practices in early childhood education and infant development, incorporating new research and methodologies into program planning.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Training:

• Group leader qualified.
• Provide verification of hours working with children.

Experience:

• Experience working with infants and/or toddlers.
• Classroom teaching experience in a constructivist learning environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• General knowledge of Colorado Childcare Licensing rules and regulations and county health department guidelines.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.
• Obtain and maintain certifications required by program contracts within 30 days of hire.

• Lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds occasionally and 30 pounds regularly.
• Ability to sit and stand on the floor for extended periods.
• Ability to clean and sanitize surfaces, toys, counters, equipment, and daily laundry.
• Ability to operate in a fast‑paced, family‑forward environment.
• Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
