Staff Accountant

We are a multi-state operation specializing in Hydro-excavation and Utility Locating services. Our team is committed to safety, precision, and efficiency in underground utility detection and excavation. We leverage Net Suite as our ERP system to manage financials and operations.

We are seeking a Staff Accountant, who will be the go-to person for keeping our financial ship sailing smoothly. You'll handle everything from maintaining accurate financial records to analyzing data and ensuring we're always in line with financial reporting standards.

Responsibilities

• Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, process company credit cards, and manage check requests and expense reports.
• Work closely with our AP Clerk to review, code, and process vendor bills, and reconcile any discrepancies.
• Create Month-End and weekly payroll journal entries, and file annual 1099s
• Dive into ad hoc analysis, reports, and special projects

Requirements

• Experience in AP, journal entries, and general accounting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• High attention to detail and ability to spot discrepancies before they become issues
• Experience with US GAAP, public accounting, and software like Net Suite, Avid Xchange, and Expensify.

Education

• Associate's degree in Accounting or related field is required. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

Physical Demands

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times

Compensation

• Pay Range: $65,000 to $70,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience.
