Cashier/Sales Associate – Midday/2nd Shift

Location:

Longmeadow, MA

Pay Rate: $16 per hour (may vary)

• Greet every customer with a smile and run the register with accuracy and speed
• Be an expert in lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales—ensuring compliance with all age verification and legal requirements
• Offer friendly service and upsell customers when possible to increase sales
• Keep the inside and outside of the store clean and safe, including
• Deep cleaning high‑use restrooms
• Wiping down and sanitizing gas pumps (nozzles, screens, water buckets)
• Picking up litter and trash from the floor and lot area
• Taking out the trash to the dumpster in all kinds of weather
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays to keep merchandise looking fresh and full
• Maintain a clean and organized store – sweep, mop, clean windows, and maintain entryways
• Willingly cross‑train in other departments, including deli, as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Be a team player and step in to help wherever needed

• Age requirement:
  Must be 18 years of age or older in most states; 21 in certain states as specified
• Availability:
  Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and full retail shift
• Physical:
  Capable of frequently lifting 10 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbs
• Pre‑employment:
  Must pass a drug screen and background check
• Skills:
  
  Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; basic math proficiency
• Experience:
  
  Previous retail or customer service experience preferred but not required
• Personal qualities:
  Friendly demeanor, detail‑oriented, reliable, flexible, willing to work hard and stay on feet
