Job SummaryThe Hotel Cafeteria Attendant is responsible for providing cleanliness in the cafeteria, ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming dining environment. This role includes assisting with food and beverage service, maintaining the cleanliness of the cafeteria, and ensuring that all associates have a positive and enjoyable dining experience.

- Food and Beverage Service:
Ensuring proper presentation and portion sizes according to hotel standards. - Maintain Cleanliness:
Ensure that dining tables, chairs, floors, and all areas of the cafeteria are clean and well-maintained at all times. Clean spills and crumbs promptly and wipe down surfaces as needed. - Stocking and Restocking:
Monitor food stations, ensuring items are replenished regularly throughout service. Restock beverages, condiments, napkins, and utensils as required. - Monitor Food Safety Standards:
Adhere to proper food handling and safety regulations, ensuring that food is stored, prepared, and served in a hygienic manner. - Assist in Buffet Setup:
Help in setting up buffet tables or food stations, ensuring that food items are neatly arranged, labeled, and maintained throughout the meal period. - Problem Resolution:
Address any complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, reporting serious issues to the supervisor or manager. - Team
Collaboration:
Work closely with other cafeteria attendants, kitchen staff, and management to ensure the smooth operation of the cafeteria.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
Previous experience in a customer service or food service role, preferably in a hotel or cafeteria setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and making change.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry light to medium-weight items.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Work Environment:
Fast-paced, customer-oriented environment with a focus on cleanliness and high standards of service.
Schedule:
Shift work, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.
