Senior Accountant

A Professional Services company in the northwest suburbs is looking to hire a Senior Accountant. This role is responsible for supporting core accounting operations with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the financial close process and strong attention to detail across transactional accounting activities.

• Manage and support the monthly financial close process
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances
• Review and oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Identify, recommend, and help implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and internal controls
• Collaborate with internal teams to support financial reporting and operational needs

• Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations
• Working knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to identify process inefficiencies and propose practical improvements
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
